Wow, it's so sad that having a "no phone in classroom" policy gets that reaction. Not a great sign of where we're heading.

Personally, I deliberately have no Social Media apps etc. on my phone and hardly ever use it for anything other than calling or texting so I could care less about handing it over to someone for the duration of a class.
